BMW 2 Series 218d M Sport Coupé Auto
2019 (19) · YH19 GPA · 72,332 miles · diesel · automatic · blue · 2 owners
The F22 2 Series Coupé is the compact BMW that still feels properly rear-driven: two doors, a low stance, and a size you can place accurately. This 19-plate example is the version that works every day — 218d, 150ps, M Sport, 8-speed automatic, Euro 6, finished in blue, with 72,332 miles and two owners.

The model
The first-generation 2 Series Coupé replaced the 1 Series Coupé and kept the important part: engine at the front, drive at the rear, compact two-door body. It is sharper and more agile than a 4 Series, and more involving than the front-driven coupés that have since filled this class.
It is a 2+2. The front seats are the place to spend time. The rear suits shorter journeys. The boot is a genuine 390 litres — one of the more usable loads in a compact coupé.
In M Sport blue it has the look most buyers want from this generation: the body kit, the stance and a colour that shows the shape.
The 218d automatic
This is the 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel in 150ps form, with 320Nm of torque available from low revs. In this car it is paired with BMW’s eight-speed Steptronic automatic and rear-wheel drive.
Typical figures for the 218d auto:
- 150ps / 110kW
- 320Nm from around 1,500rpm
- 0–62mph in about 8 seconds
- Top speed around 132mph
- Euro 6
- Real-world economy commonly in the 50s mpg on a longer run
It is not an M240i or an M2, and it does not pretend to be. The 218d is the Coupé you can commute in, take on the motorway and still enjoy when the road opens up. The automatic is the gearbox that makes that possible — smooth in traffic, decisive when you want a lower ratio.
M Sport
M Sport is the specification that defined the F22. Typical equipment includes:
- M Sport exterior styling
- 18-inch M alloy wheels
- M Sport suspension
- M Sport leather steering wheel and sports seats
- High-gloss shadowline trim on many cars
- Dual-zone climate control
- BMW navigation / iDrive
- Front and rear parking sensors
- Automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers
Optional extras varied widely. We will confirm this car’s exact factory options, interior trim and wheel style on viewing.
On the road
This is why people still look for an F22. The steering is accurate, the nose is light, and the rear-driven balance is there even in diesel form. M Sport suspension keeps the body tighter and can feel firm over poor surfaces; that is the trade for the way it sits and the way it changes direction.
On a dual carriageway the 218d settles and covers ground quietly. Around town the eight-speed automatic removes the only real drawback of the old manual diesels. It is a compact coupé that works as a daily car.
This example
A 2019 218d M Sport at 72,332 miles, two owners, is in the right window if the history and condition support the mileage. Service record, tyres, suspension and bodywork matter more than the badge. This car has been selected and prepared by Eaglescliffe Motor Group on that basis.
